This video will explore how pairings of different levels of paper moisture with different paint consistencies give different effects.
I painted this back in December of 2021 and left it unfinished, but when I was digging through my old paintings I came across it and decided to finish it because I LOVED some of the soft edges I had achieved with my wet in wet and push techniques along with Daniel Smith Lamp Black paint to achieve ‘furred out’ edges. Yes you can use other paints to create beautiful wet in wet soft fur, but Daniel Smith paint furs out more than any other paint and stays darker (has less of a drying shift) than any other black I’ve tried.
